Named to Forbes 30 under 30 in 2021, Nikola has worked with his co-founders Shawn Wen and Eddy Su to bring cutting-edge Conversational AI innovations to commercial voice applications. PolyAI is the fastest-growing enterprise voice AI provider, handling millions of customer phone calls with human-like voice automation. Clients include major brands in hospitality, finance, and logistics. Before starting PolyAI, Nikola was the first engineer at VocalIQ, a dialogue systems startup acquired by Apple. He did his Ph.D. at Cambridge, working with Professor Steve Young. Before that, he did the Cambridge Computer Science Tripos, including a Master's thesis on Bayesian machine learning with Professor Zoubin Ghahramani.
