Lybra S. Clemons is a seasoned c-suite executive with over 15 years of Human Resources, Talent, Culture, and Diversity & Inclusion experience across a variety of Fortune 500 companies. Lybra is a proven leader in creating, building and implementing practical strategies for corporations that result in stronger retention of top talent and higher engagement of the workforce, from the front-line worker to the C-Suite. Lybra has advised CEOs, led and scaled talent and diversity teams, managed M&A cultural integrations, developed strategy for managing distributed workforce efforts, and consulted on several anti-racist projects specific to company transformations. /n Currently, Lybra serves as Twilio’s first Chief Diversity Officer. Reporting directly to the CEO, Lybra sits on the executive team and is responsible for pioneering the company’s commitment to become an antiracist organization. Twilio is the first and only tech company to radically shift their focus towards antiracism as a force for driving diversity, equity, and inclusion; and Lybra sits at the helm in changing and shaping the industry. Prior to taking on the role at Twilio, Lybra’s experience was primarily in the financial services and fintech sector. Lybra was the Global Head of Diversity at PayPal, and held key roles in Diversity & Inclusion at Morgan Stanley, The Brunswick Group, and American Express. /n As a diversity and cultural transformation expert, Lybra has lived and worked in Europe, Africa, and Central America. She is a noted speaker, coach, and advisor to global entities. She serves on the Board of Directors of Makers@, How Women Lead Silicon Valley Executive Board, and has been recognized by Black Enterprise as one of the Top Corporate Women in Diversity. She is also a member of the Athena Alliance, Black Women on Boards (BWOB), Private Directors Association, the Links Incorporated, and an investor with Portfolia (investment fund for women). Lybra is currently in the process of writing a book about her journey in building an antiracist organization. /n Lybra holds a B.A. in Political Science from Spelman College, a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and an Executive Management certificate from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.
